JOI Sponsors Toy Drive
Over the last couple of weeks, Middle School and High School study hall classes collected gifts and money for the New Visions "Adopt-a-Child" holiday program. This project was coordinated by the High School JOI Club. The student groups brought in over 100 gifts and more than $900 in cash. With cash in hand, some of the JOI members went shopping to finalize each child's wish list. The result is 237+ gifts to be distributed to the 21 children that were adopted from New Visions.
"Without the help of so many -- teachers, students, parents and the JOI officers & members -- this project would not be possible. It is heartwarming to see the generosity shared with others to help make a child's Christmas a little brighter" stated JOI Club Sponsor Shelly Bailey. "This project is a yearly project of New Visions and they get over 500 requests each year".
