- School Bus Safety:
- Highway Stopping: Review the law and safe stopping guidelines via the Iowa DOT School Bus Safety Page.
- Bus Transportation Notice: Assigned buses are for designated regular riders only. For management and safety, students may only ride their assigned bus.
- School Zone Speed Limits:
- Speed Limits: 25 mph is effective in the school zone on Hwy 92 during the flashing times of 7:40-8:20 AM & 3:20-3:50 PM (1:50-2:20 p.m. on 2:00 p.m. dismissal days).
- US News Best Schools Award: Treynor MS/HS made the list! Read the full U.S.News Ranking Report. (Elementary School rankings have not been released yet).
- Yearbook Early-Bird Special (Ends Sept 17th):
- High School: $60 (increases to $75 after September 17th)
- Middle & Elementary School: $20 (increases to $30 after Sept 17th)

- ACT Test Dates: Sept 19 | Oct 17 | Dec 12 | Feb 27 | Apr 10 | Jun 12 | Jul 10. The ACT is a standardized test encouraged but not required for 4-year college bound students. Register online at ACT.org.
- Back to School Nutrition: View lunch menus, pricing, free/reduced applications, and policies in the Back to School Nutrition Article.
- Staff Email Format Changes:
- New staff: Email syntax is now first-name+last-name@treynorcardinals.org.
- Returning staff: Will still use their legacy email (first-initial+last-name@treynorcardinals.org) and the new format.
- Classroom Grant Donations: Make a tax-deductible contribution to support future teacher classroom projects. Support our teachers via the Classroom Grant Fund.

- Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning: Twenty-five years ago, our world changed drastically. This year we would like to help honor the lives we lost during the attacks on 9/11 across the United States, or who served in the armed forces or as first responders during that time. Our community has connections to events and people who served or who were lost in the days, weeks, and months that we would love to hear about. Sharing stories is a way to help educate our students about the impact that day had on all of us. We would like to invite families to share their stories with us about how these tragic events affected you or your family. Please share stories and pictures to the google form at: 25th Anniversary of 9/11
