Dear Parents and Fans of Treynor Community Schools,

It's been another exciting week here at Treynor! Here's a recap of our student-athletes' outstanding performances and a preview of what's coming up this week.

Last Week's Recap:

• Monday, October 7th:

  • JV Football: A dominant 21-0 win at home against St. Albert.

  • Reserve Volleyball: The team won 3-1 at Lewis Central.

• Tuesday, October 8th:

  • Volleyball: All levels played with heart against Tri-Center. Varsity fought hard but lost 3-1. However, the Rally for Ry Spaghetti Dinner was a great success, with incredible community support for those impacted by cancer.

  • Junior High Football: Treynor secured a 31-6 victory at IKM.

• Thursday, October 10th:

  • Cross Country: Our teams competed at the Atlantic Invite, continuing to showcase their hard work and dedication.

  • Volleyball: A tough match at home against Riverside, with Varsity losing 3-0. We also celebrated Senior Night, honoring three incredible seniors: Alleyna, Kori, and Sydney.

• Friday, October 11th:

  • Football: A huge 36-6 victory at home against Shenandoah, clinching the Class 1A District 8 Championship! We also celebrated Senior Night, recognizing 29 seniors, including 7 involved in multiple fall activities.

  • Youth Football Night: Our youth football players had the chance to run onto the field and experience the thrill of Friday Night Lights.

• Saturday, October 12th:

  • Loess Hills Marching Band Festival: Our marching band performed brilliantly, placing 2nd at the competition in Glenwood!

  • JV Volleyball: Our JV team won the Lynx Invitational at Abraham Lincoln High School and did a tremendous job throughout the tournament.  

Upcoming Events:

• Monday, October 14th:

  • Cross Country: WIC Championship at Quail Run Golf Course - race starts at 4:00 PM.

  • JV Football: Traveling to Logan-Magnolia, kickoff at 6:00 PM.

  • Volleyball: Round 1 of the WIC Tournament vs. IKM-Manning at 7:00 PM. Activities Passes not accepted due to a conference event.

• Tuesday, October 15th:

  • Junior High Football: At Missouri Valley, kickoff at 4:15 PM.

  • Volleyball: Round 2 of the WIC Tournament, time and location TBD.

• Thursday, October 17th:

  • Volleyball: Round 3 of the WIC Tournament at IWCC (Iowa Western Community College), time TBD.

• Friday, October 18th:

  • Football: Away game at Missouri Valley, kickoff at 7:00 PM.

• Saturday, October 19th:

  • State Marching Band Competition: Glenwood/Ankeny.

  • Varsity Volleyball: Competing at the Lewis Central Tournament.

  • Cross Country: Running at Logan-Missouri Valley Country Club, race starts at 10:00 AM.
