Dear Parents and Fans of Treynor Community Schools,

We had another action-packed week with great performances from our student-athletes and performers! Here's a breakdown of last week's highlights and what's ahead.

Weekly Recap (January 27 - February 1)

January 27:

• JH Girls Basketball vs. Riverside (Home):

  • 7th Grade won 36-14

  • 8th Grade won 45-26

• JH Boys Wrestling @ Audubon:

  • Wrestled well and continue to improve.

January 28:

• Varsity Boys Wrestling Quad @ Missouri Valley:

  • Wrestled tough, with a narrow 30-29 loss to Griswold.

• All Levels Basketball vs. Missouri Valley (Home):

  • Girls won 73-36

  • Boys won 65-28

• TeamMates Mentor Appreciation Night:

  • Thank you to the 39 mentors who dedicate their time each week to support our students!

• White Out for Coaches vs. Cancer:

  • The WIC Conference raised $1600 to donate to the American Cancer Society.

• Senior Night Recognition:

  • Honored Andyn White, Reece Chapman, Emma Grasshorn, Peter Young, Jared Schwarte, Monica Osborn, and Gretchen Swalwell for their dedication.

January 30:

• JH Girls Basketball vs. Sidney (Home):

  • Won both games with strong performances.

• JH Wrestling Meet (Home):

  • Exciting matches and great learning opportunities.

January 31:

• Girls Wrestling State Qualifier @ Red Oak:

  • Emma Miller (1st) and Liz Young (2nd) punched their tickets to the State Tournament in Coralville!

• JH Girls Basketball @ Shenandoah:

  • Another great effort from our teams. 7th Narrow Loss 20-23 and 8th Winning 50-34

• HS Basketball @ IKM:

  • Varsity Girls won 60-26

  • Varsity Boys won 65-36

February 1:

• State Jazz Band Competition:

  • Treynor received a Division One Rating and excellent feedback from the judges.

• Boys Wrestling @ Audubon:

  • Zack Robbins - 1st

  • Lowell Knott - 2nd

  • Maverick Kalb - 3rd

  • Noah Jedlicka - 4th

  • Griffin Gregg - 5th
